To Her Royal Highness, Queen Sally Acorn.
A disturbing development has revealed that your own Royal Guard may have been infiltrated by an unknown agency.
As per your command, we have been searching abandoned cellars in old Mobotropolis for rations to feed the citizens until the Planet Egg is restored.
In one of these rooms we found the following message, painted across the cellar wall.
We believe it was written just after Dr. Julian roboticized his rebellious nephew, and fled the city.

" To those who must now live with the injuries we were forced to inflict on their robotic forms. We are sorry. We had no choice, you were unwilling slaves of Robotnik .

cannot reveal ourselves as long as Robotnik still lives. Though he now hides as a criminal, We must remain a myth.
Now that order is restored, Mobius has no need of us. Some have joined the Royal Guard others have returned to civilian life, and a few still hunt the treasonous Madman, but the Gremlins are no more.
Though our actions may be controversial, viewed in hindsight as equal parts good and evil... We did ALL in order to restore the house of Acorn.
May the people She rules forgive us...
With your permission I shall forward a copy of this letter to Sonic, as soon as he and the others return from space. Until then I highly suggest you investigate this matter further.

This letter was discovered in the Royal Vault. It confirms that the Royal family was, in fact, made aware of the Gremlins' prior existence, though perhaps not until relatively recently.
This Gremlins' Fan-Fiction, attempts to subtly explain what happens between the Satam/Acrhie series and the events of Sonic X.
It seems the former Princess Sally is a little too busy with politics to accompany Sonic.
And the secret resistance group known as "the Gremlins" have lone ago disbanded... or have they?
